In Part 1, we spotlight the creation of unicorns over the past 12 months.
The ProcureTech100 recognises the 100 definitive pioneering digital procurement solutions by using extensive proprietary data, research and a panel of procurement experts.
Over the last year, we have seen a significant number of the ProcureTech100 continue to make progress. This progress has been both endorsed and fuelled by the investment of VCs into the ProcureTech ecosystem. There are a number of solutions that have joined the unicorn club: companies valued at more than $1 billion.
Female-led unicorn Interos raised $100m to protect supply chains from physical and cyber disruption and a further $6.5m from a women-investor group
SaaS buying platform Vendr, which has processed more than $1.3 billion in transactions raised $150m in a funding round in June
EcoVadis’, led by Pierre-François Thaler and Frédéric Trinel, total funding raised reaches over $725 million, gaining unicorn status and helping its growth plans in North America and Asia to help more companies with their sustainability ratings, along with a note of congratulations from the French President Macron.
Intake-to-Procure solution Zip, co-founded by Rujul Zaparde, secured $43m in Series B funding, gaining a $1.2 billion valuation to ease the stress of purchasing
7-in-1 spend management solution Spendesk raised €100M to accelerate its transformation and deliver visibility for customers
It all RAMPed up for finance automation platform Ramp whose valuation rocketed to $8.1 billion, where it continues to help customers save time and money by automating their finances
